The aim of this project is to determine a new global reorganization through integral design that operates at different levels and scales. The objective is to implement the overall quality of tourist accommodation making the whole area, not only the urban centers, fully attractive.
The project is based on multi-level interventions at different scales. The four levels of intervention are: the lake, the widespread system of tourist infrastructures, the infrastructure more localized, the urban redevelopment. The lake is characterized by a new cycle path large 4 ml. that allows full accessibility for the disabled. The retaining wall of the S.R. 249 "Gardesana Orientale" represents its border. In this way the new cycle path and all the intervention of lakefront represent a connection between water and land.
To solve the problem of a longitudinal marking so extended, it was developed a texture of transversal signs which acts as the structure of whole design intervention. In this way it was possible to discretize the area at different scales to obtain a highly recognizable formal identity. From this first input, the various

interventions were derived, both those spread over the territory that those more strictly localized. The widespread system of tourist infrastructures on the lake plays a strategic role in the pursuit of the objective of implementing quality accommodation in the area. The project provides a modular system of lightweight wood structures able to perform a variety of functions improving the services such as bars, services toilet, storage for canoes and surf, shading, recycling area, info point.
These small light infrastructures, wide 3.6 ml, are arranged transversely to the line of the shore by coming fully integrate with the design of the lake described above. The infrastructure interventions more localized are three: a new marina in the area Acquafresca, a new cable car that connects the Castelletto and Prada, and two new parking in Castelletto and Porto.
The urban redevelopment concerns Mugugnano and Castelletto, which are areas that need action at the urban scale. Even in this case, the solution is based on the use of signs derived from the transversal texture which characterizes the whole intervention.
