The intervention area, approximately 1300 m long and 180 m wide, is situated south-east of the center of Chioggia.
Its proximity and visual contact with the center strongly influences the composition choices of the proposed concept.
It’s in the land-water symbiotic relationship that the morphology of Chioggia is identified, going to produce long and narrow blocks, lapped by roads. The analysis of the context has a great importance in the formulation of the concept that has as its main objective the mending of the building fabric west of the project area, in order to produce a 1.3 km waterfront characterized by seriality which is able to generate relations of repetition and difference with a studied relationship of solids-voids and density-rarefaction, finding a dynamic and articulated balance both in plan and in elevation. The design of the parterre is the fundamental connection between the lagoon and the city and together with the residential defines the joint of the system.
Thus was born CODICE LAGUNA,

a landscape work consisting of a composition of fields fully justified and reported on the future Via dei Ghezzi, backbone of the entire system.
The composition of fields is inspired by the many traces in the batch and calls the geometric design of the fields near Chioggia.
The project is set up in the strict sense of pictorial composition with a strong relation between close-up and background.
The layers that make up the system are found in three main categories: traffic, construction, green, each of these categories in turn contains other hierarchical levels going to make the whole drawing, and then operational system.
The project also features the design of a new building east-west tension given by the insertion of long, narrow buildings that reflect the orientation of the existing lots.
CODICE LAGUNA as a whole is to be understood as a system of communication and flows. The idea of fragmentation and relationship are dichotomous terms that describe the idea of a concept designed to unite aspects of urban living in a natural context.
