Redevelopment of the open spaces of the former Caserma Piave, the area under intervention is located on the northern outskirts of the city of Belluno in an area near the Piave river.
The refurbishment intervention in question is within the general view of restoring to the community a space of public property, with a history and testimonial value, as well as with a significant consistency in terms of assets and a strategic location.
At present, some of the volumes (buildings, hangars or sheds) have been assigned and some subjects have begun to carry out their activity inside them and to recover them. The open spaces, on the other hand, are in an obvious state of abandonment and the project aims to re-qualify them and redefine them with the aim of creating recognizability and unity as a whole.
The green areas will be of two types, treated entirely to meadow or partially infrastructured, with platforms and elements of urban furniture in addition to trees adapted to the context and purpose.

The compartment's open spaces can be distinguished in three main areas.
The first, located in the west part is reached by a car and pedestrian access and is characterized by the presence of two adjacent green areas that occupy almost the entire central part, now entirely asphalted.
The second, placed in the central part is divided into two zones with different characteristics and attitudes. The very elongated shape of the green area would seem to favor the eventual urban garden destination. The part towards the military polygon is the most "urban" place of the citadel, a kind of square that hosts many clearly identifiable functions through the use of different surface finishes and materials.
The third zone is configured as a real park.
The project of recovery and redevelopment of the open spaces is compatible with the environmental constraint and will allow, together with the progressive restructuring of the buildings by the subjects that have them concession, to regenerate an area in obvious state of abandonment and degradation.
